Right now, I am working on the idea for a story and the concept is something similar to that of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri and, to a lesser degree, Beyond Earth. This concept would be based around a ground of people and various civilizations coming together to form their own nations in a strange new world. Each nation and organization has their own belief system and ideology which divides them. Each group has their own complex history and culture in this weird environment that mixes hard science fiction with fantasy.  My goal is to come up with about seven civilizations for a short story to summit.
